Please check back next week for updates to the newsletter!!! AUGUST NEWSLETTER Welcome back! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Michael Olson. I am the high school counselor and each month you will be receiving this newsletter. The newsletter is used to inform you of events and/or issues relating to the high school and students. If you have any questions regarding the information found in this newsletter, please feel free to contact me at 532-0525, ext. 6108. Karen Kleiber is the Guidance Assistant and is able to help students and parents with a wide variety of questions and concerns, or scheduling appointments and can be reached at ext. 6109. Getting Involved: Wrightstown Schools have a strong tradition of student and parental involvement. I would like to encourage you to continue that tradition. Students have the opportunity to be involved in numerous clubs, organizations and athletic teams to match almost any interest. If you have any questions on how you or your son/daughter can become involved, please contact me. Senior Grad Party Meeting: Please plan to attend the first meeting on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:00 pm in the high school library. We need lots of help!!! All senior parents are encouraged to attend. We need parents of the senior class to help out with taking tickets, the burger and brat fry and 50/50 raffle for each of the home football games. The money that is raised is donated to the Senior Graduation Party. If you unable to attend the meeting, but are willing to help out, please contact Karen Kleiber. Freshman Student/Parent Meeting: The first Parent Network Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 8th, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in the high school library. The meeting will be geared towards freshman and their parents. We will discuss high school rules/policies, extracurricular activities, clubs, high school planning, career planning, socializing, peer pressure, cell phones and any other topics that might come up. Students are also welcome to attend. 15th Annual Craft Sale: The craft show is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th! If you or someone you know would like to reserve a booth at the craft sale, please contact Karen Kleiber at 920/532-0525, ext. 6109. The parents of the Senior Class sponsor and help to organize the craft and bake sale. All of the money raised from this sale goes toward paying for the Senior Graduation Party. Without the funds from the craft show, we would not be able to put on the Senior Grad Party as we have come to know it. Our 2009 craft sale profit was over $8,000! In order to put on the craft show we need the help and support of the parents of the Senior Class. Bryan and Kay Van Rossum have generously offered to head up and make the booyah this year. We are looking for donations of chicken, vegetables, etc. If you are able to help out with a donation please contact Bryan or Kay at 920/532-4831. Also, please send any 12 oz or 16 oz containers and ice cream pails you might have to school. They are needed for the carryout booyah.
