Regarding our trip to Cuba, it was very successful in the aspect of there were no problems entering or
leaving Cuba. (Glory to God!) The evangelists are still winning about 5,000 people to the Lord every
month; however, we are beginning something new with them.
Over the past year and a half, we have been sending the names of all the people who have been getting
saved to the churches in the areas where the people live that have committed to Christ. We have found
that about 60% of the churches are conducting follow-up while the other churches are not.
In my opinion, the primary job of follow-up is in the hands of the churches. They are called to Pastor and
they have many more people and leaders that they can use to conduct follow-up. When we send an
evangelist to an area, their job is to evangelize. We are most effective when the churches work with us of
course. The Bible says that the body grows as each member does its part.
In the areas where the churches are not following the lives up who have committed to Christ, we can not
just let these people die spiritually. Therefore, we are releasing our evangelists to conduct follow-up.
They will be concentrating on neglected areas to begin visitations, conduct Bible Studies, and plant
churches. They will be spending about 25% of their work week to visit those people who the churches
have not visited.
Please pray for us during this time of transition for our team. Pray that they would have wisdom, favor,
and understanding on how we can be most effective in advancing God’s kingdom.
To give you just a quick testimony, one of our evangelists has opened 34 churches during the year.
Therefore, we had close to 50 churches planted during 2007. Pray and believe with us that we will
continue to grow in our effectiveness in reaching souls and planting churches so that the glorious name of
Jesus will be advanced throughout Cuba. Please pray for added partnership so that we can reach our goal
of 55 evangelists as well.
