SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great pride
in recognizing David L. Bridges on the auspicious occasion of his
investiture as Justice for the Fifth District Court of Appeals in
Dallas; and
WHEREAS, Born in Rains County, Mr. Bridges has been quite
active in political causes and community activities in both Tyler
and Rockwall, Texas; and
WHEREAS, Now a resident of Rockwall, David and his wife,
Sandy, are the parents of two daughters, Elizabeth and Alexandria;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bridges brings a wealth of experience and
knowledge to his new position due to his many years as a criminal
prosecutor; and
WHEREAS, Although he is leaving a private practice law
firm, his proficiency in this area will add to the store of legal
training which he brings to his new position; and
WHEREAS, The selection of David L. Bridges as Justice for
the Fifth District Court of Appeals is to be commended; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
75th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to
David L. Bridges on this most welcome occasion; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for Mr. Bridges as an expression of the high regard of the
Texas Senate.
