Official Shipping Agents at Jeddah Islamic Port Dear Sirs, Reference is made to the Import of Chemicals Regulations issued by the Royal Decree No. 2/38 of 06/16/1427 H where the provision in Article XI stipulates complete of clearance permission procedure before the arrival of the chemicals into the Kingdom, or exactly on its arrival, and its delivery by the consignee within a period not exceeding (3) working days from the date of its clearance. And, based on the recommendations of the committee formed under the cable message of His Royal Highness, Assistant of Interior Minister for Security Affairs No. 1/10/12019/2 sh of 08 - 09/3/1428 to study the situation of hazardous cargo at airports, sea and land boarder points and to prevent its accumulation and find the appropriate mechanism to expedite its clearance procedures, which insured the necessity to observe what has been stated in the regulations thereof. Accordingly, the port management confirms to emphasize to you that, as of the date of 01/02/1437 AH (corresponding to 13 November 2015) will not allow discharge of any chemicals in the port except the shipments that have (pre-clearance) from the Customs in accordance with the (attached) form, which must be obtained from the consignee and to be submitted to the port with hazardous cargo manifests before the arrival of the ship.
