FINANCIAL AND EMPLOYMENT IMPACT
In 2007 Full Spectrum Solutions made a multimillion dollar
investment on a Brownfield redevelopment site, and began
construction of what would become Jackson’s first LEED qualified
building. In addition to transferring 25 jobs from their former
outgrown facility, Full Spectrum Solutions committed to creating 10
new jobs within the next two years. Today FSS/EL, established in
1997, has 55 employees and is experiencing significant growth.
INDUSTRY IMPACT
EverLast® Lighting, Inc. is a sister company of Full Spectrum
Solutions, Inc., which was founded in 1997, and has quickly become
the leading manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting solutions for
roadway, parking structure, facility and area lighting applications.
They offer 43 lines of products with more than 4 models in each line.
U.S. made EverLast® fixtures includes the only Type III Induction
Cobra Head fixtures, IP65 Rated Shoe Boxes, Acorn Walkways,
optically-enhanced Bi-Level Garage fixtures, our new Charlevoix
Rectangular Cobra Head fixtures, and our PV/Wind powered hybrid
area lighting system. Click here to watch how their U.S. fixtures are
manufactured.
By incorporating bi-level controls with on/off photo sensors, their
EverLast® induction fixtures can reduce energy use by up to 70
percent and have won national awards for sustainability in utilizing
SMART technology.
When they outgrew their facility in 2007, they decided to build a stateof-the-art-the-art “green” facility where they could begin
manufacturing a variety of energy-efficient EverLast® induction light
fixtures. Construction of their new 72,000 sq. ft. world headquarters
and manufacturing facility was completed in April 2010.

With automotive grade
component life cycle testing and
domestic manufacturing
standards, the Tesleon® system
operates with a failure rate of
under 10 parts per million;
backed by a 10 year guarantee.
“Through state of the art lamp
manufacturing processes and
digital electronic innovations
designed by EverLast® and
Bosch; Tesleon® is now the
market leader boasting 110
lumens per watt. Bolt on
modular control hardware, and
overdesigning a lighting solution
to compensate for source
degradation is a thing of the
past,” commented Alex Orr, Vice
President of Sales at EverLast®
Lighting, Inc. “Through this
partnership we have created a
new genre in the industry, with
an onboard CPU and additional
wireless control features.”
Several of the building's "green" features include: geothermal heating
and cooling; solar/wind powered hybrid parking lot lighting; recycled
energy-efficient window glass; pervious concrete that absorbs
rainwater and filters it back through the watershed; daylighting
controls; and solar tracking skylights that track the sun throughout
the day to capture more of the suns usable light by reflecting light that
would be otherwise lost when the sun is low in the horizon. Click here to
view other features of their "green" facility.
Full Spectrum Solutions utilizes several Michigan manufacturers to
build its products. When one EverLast® U.S. Cobra Head fixture is
assembled, parts from 12 Michigan manufacturers are included. Full
Spectrum Solutions implements and embodies a “buy local” policy
that encompasses the goal of procuring materials and manufacturing
goods with a precedent of first using local, statewide, and domestic
vendors in that order. By doing business with locally owned and
operated companies our dollars spent will continually flow into the
local economy with increased velocity.
Not only is FSS heavily involved in its home state of Michigan, but
also reinforces its product presence on a national scale.
Full Spectrum Solutions receives purchase orders from all market
segments such as educational, municipalities, every branch of the
United States Military, federal and state agencies, retail,
manufacturing and other end users.
IMAGINE – ENGINEER – BUILD
In addition to holding the honor of Jackson Manufacturer of the Year
for 2013, Full Spectrum Solutions prides itself on several design and utility patents as well as a commitment to
engineering high quality lighting products that utilize parts from other Michigan based manufacturers.
Recent product installations include a $300,000 lighting installation job at the Green Bay Packers’ Lambeau
Field, installation for all Meijer stores across the state, as well as national projects with Sunoco gas stations,
Greyhound bus terminals and Planet Fitness locations, among many others.
