About the Kitchen Gypsy:
After spending over 4 years working as a business consultant on information technology projects, I was tired of the
grueling travel schedule, long hours, and less than fulfilling work. I decided it was time to trade in my laptop for a knife kit,
add some color to my life, and get serious about my true interests….Food and Health! That’s when I enrolled in the
Natural Gourmet Cookery School and Institute for Food and Health - Chef’s Training Program (a full time, accredited
program with an internship requirement). Now I want to share my talent for healthy gourmet cooking and my knowledge
of natural foods with hungry people everywhere!
Cuisine:
While the cuisine prepared will always reflect the wants and needs of the client for whom I’m cooking, I impart my own
cooking style by allowing fresh ingredients to be the focus of each dish – Unfussy Flavor!
Menu options change seasonally – inspired by what’s fresh at the Farmer’s Market!
Well versed in tasty vegetarian/vegan cooking and baking
Can accommodate special diets – low fat, low carbs, wheat free/gluten free, even macrobiotic
International flavors add some spice to life - I love to create Italian/Mediterranean, Asian, Mexican, and Indian inspired
dishes!!
Mission:
To provide people who simply don’t have the time or energy to cook for themselves with the absolute best quality and
most delicious home cooked meals with a light and tasty flair, made only with the finest all-natural ingredients.
To promote the art of living and eating well by creating balanced, healthy, and appetizing meals in clients’ homes while
giving busy families the valuable gift of time to enjoy them together.
To be an expert in the healthful and delicious preparation of natural foods, and to keep abreast of the latest news in
organics, nutrition, and food/environmental issues.
To construct every recipe with only all-natural ingredients, organic whenever possible. To avoid the use of artificial
flavors/colors, hydrogenated oils, genetically modified foods, and animal products containing hormones and antibiotics.
To spread the word to the general public on the fantastic health benefits of incorporating whole foods into the diet, and
thus eliminating the consumption of processed foods.
How it Works:
Step 1: Consultation
Initial consultation to determine your personal taste preferences, dietary restrictions, food allergies, etc. Can be a brief
meeting in person, an email questionnaire, or a phone call.
Step 2: Menu Plan
I’ll develop a menu based on your needs and give it to you for review before the scheduled cooking date.
Step 3: Shop and Cook!
On agreed upon cooking date, I’ll shop for ingredients in the morning and then prepare menu dishes in your kitchen,
package, label and store them in refrigerator and freezer, and clean up. Reheating instructions will be provided as
necessary. You’ll return home to a clean kitchen, delicious meals waiting in the refrigerator, and the aroma of home
cookin’!
