PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
YEAR B
Invitation to Prayer:
My brothers and sisters,
to the God who has given us all things in Christ,
let us ask for a generous response of heartfelt prayer
for those in need,
for the good of the Church
and for the salvation of all people.
Concluding Prayer:
God, our provider,
who are the orphan’s hope and the widow’s bread,
graciously hear our prayers
and strengthen the faith of your people,
that with a simplicity of heart
we may come to trust in you alone
and hold back nothing in serving you.
Through Christ our Lord.
Or:
Lord, almighty God,
in whose care we see your concern for all people,
hear our prayers as we seek to imitate your generosity;
for in our desire to share,
we fear to give all.
Open our hands and hearts to share with others
the gifts you have given us.
Through Christ our Lord.
PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time - Year B - November 8, 2015
Deacon or Reader:
1.
For the Church, called to proclaim God’s love for the poor and meek of the world;
for the clergy and parishioners of St. Gregory, Picton and St. Frances, Wellington;
and for all who work for the oppressed, the disadvantaged and the starving.
We pray to the Lord.
2.
For a more generous distribution of the earth’s produce;
for those whose lives have been devastated by storms and acts of nature;
and for a greater respect for our planet and its resources.
We pray to the Lord.
3.
For the veterans of all wars;
for the members of the Canadian Armed Forces;
and for those nations seeking peace and experiencing civil unrest.
We pray to the Lord.
4.
For widows and orphans, the poor and needy;
for all who share their riches and poverty with others;
and for all seeking healing, comfort and consolation.
We pray to the Lord.
5.
For all Christians, who seek to imitate the sacrificial and life-giving love of Jesus;
for all who gather on this, the Lord’s Day, to remember and give thanks to God;
and for the sick of the parish.
We pray to the Lord.
6.
For the spiritual and physical well-being of all parishioners;
for those who have died recently,
for our deceased relatives and friends;
and for all whose names are written in the Parish Book of Life.
We pray to the Lord.
