BOTOX INJECTIONS (BOTULIMUN TOXIN A)
WHAT IS BOTOX?
It is a toxin derived from the bacterium clostridium botulinum. It blocks
transmission between nerve endings and muscle fibers around the site of
injection site to cause weakness of the nearby muscle.
WHAT IS BOTOX USED FOR?
It is non surgical treatment for wrinkles, blephrospasm, migraine, medical
ptosis and strabismus treatment. Age between 18-65 years
BOTOX INJECTION PROCEDURE
The entire botox injection takes 10-15 minutes
AFTER THE INJECTION
Notice the effect of the drug within 3-7 days and the effect last for 4-6
month and can be repeated after 6 month
HOW OFTEN CAN IT BE GIVEN?
You can receive the injections every 4-6 months gap. With repeated
treatments, thinning of the muscles occurs, which produces longer lasting
results.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT?
Headache, flu-like symptoms, temporary eyelid droop, nausea, squint/double
vision, twitching of the eyes, facial pain, redness at the injection site, muscle
weakness
CONTRA-INDICATION/CAUTIONS
Infection at the site of injection, allergic to the ingredients, pregnancy,
Myasthenia or other neurological disorders, interaction with Quinidine and
some antibiotics
