Current Events Friday
I am presenting on ____________________________________
Every Friday, two or three students will present current events to the class. When it is your
turn to present, you will be expected to…
 Talk about two current events. One article must be about a world event and
one can be about anything you like.
 State your source
 Explain the who, what, where, when, and why, as well as any other important
supporting details.
 Write a question that you will ask the class about each article. (eg: how do you
think, what do you think, why do you think, etc.)
 Following your presentation, you must be prepared to answer any questions from
the class.
 Write a short summary of your article on notebook paper and include the
question that you will present to the class. This should be handed in the day
before you are scheduled to present
As a member of the class, you will all be expected to participate each week. You will
respond to one article that you found interesting. Answer the question posted by the
presenter and also add your own thoughts on the story. (10 points) These responses will be
due the Monday after the article presentations.
