Technical Study Lake Campus PROGRAM ASSESSMENT PLAN 1. List the OBJECTIVES of the program. Enhance employment opportunities in a broad base of technology applications, including business, engineering, office information systems, and computer software. Be able to seamlessly articulate to baccalaureate degree in organizational leadership. 2. Explain how the department or program will know the extent to which OBJECTIVES are achieved (alumni or other surveys, employment data, etc.). Exit Interview/Survey of Graduates Percentage of students articulating to baccalaureate degrees. 3. List the LEARNING OUTCOMES of the program. Student will be able to apply a variety of industry standards and business applications to changing industrial market. Student will be able to analyze industry and business issues from a global perspective. Student will be able to think critically and to envision creative solutions to business and industry problems. Student will be able to adapt to rapidly changing technologies. Student will demonstrate an understanding of the economic environments of both business and industry. 4. List and briefly describe the MEASURES that will be used to access each learning outcome. Direct Measures: Final paper or portfolio that combines the students varied technical courses taken and its purpose to their career goals. Field trip analysis to Henry Ford Museum on technology’s impact. 5. Describe how learning outcomes are made MEASURABLE and BENCHMARKS or other determinants of success are set. Annual comparison and analysis of graduate surveys to obtain percent of students articulating to baccalaureate degrees or that have enhanced job opportunities. 6. Describe the process by which FINDINGS will be derived from the measures. Faculty members in the applied technologies program, along with Associate Dean, will meet annually to review measures. Academic Affairs and Curriculum Committee (AACC) will also provide input on findings. 7. Describe the process by which findings are analyzed to determine what IMPROVEMENTS should be made to better meet objectives and learning outcomes. As mentioned in (6) above – faculty and administration will review and analyze findings to determine if improvements should be made. AACC will also review any recommendations. 8. Identify a TIMETABLE for assessment. This particular technology program will be assessed on an annual basis to assure that varied disciplines being taken by students remain consistent with identified outcomes and meet the changing demands of technology applications in business and industry. 9.
