Purpose of the Role, Whāinga te āhuatanga
1. To assist with coordination of annual Cancer Society of New Zealand flagship awareness and
fundraising events in Taranaki i.e. Relay For Life, Daffodil Day and any other future events.
2. Identify and support community events and activities that aim to generate income for
cancer research and our core Cancer Society services.
3. Assist with other income development initiatives that will increase members, donors, and
volunteers to the Cancer Society.
4. Assist with the recruiting, training and coordination of new volunteers.
5. To work within the guidelines and policies established by the Divisional Leader Fundraising
and Events and the Divisional Leader Volunteering.

Central Districts Divisional Leader Fundraising and Events; Donor Mail Coordinator ; Central

Proven understanding and experience of fundraising and events
management in the not-for-profit sector.

Recognised qualification is preferred; significant work experience can
substitute for a qualification.

Experience with office administrative management.

At least 1 year experience coordinating special events and fundraising.

Adheres to the budget set forth by the Finance/Income Development
Committee approved by the Executive Committee.

Willingness to work extra hours as required.
