Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their

every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had
compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like
sheep without a shepherd.

The People’s Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

AN UP AND COMING FIRST CHURCH EVENT-The West Chester
Railroad has continued to partner together to operate the BBQ Choo
Choo. You will enjoy a train ride on a beautiful evening on Saturday,
September 17, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and have a delicious BBQ
dinner from one of the area’s best BBQ restaurants. Your train will depart
Market Street station in West Chester and the BBQ will be held in the
Glen Mills picnic grove right next to the Chester Creek. The menu
includes Pig Out BBQ Pit’s specialties: Pulled Pork BBQ, Baby Back
Ribs, Homemade sides, Pulled Chicken BBQ and Corn Dogs. The menu
is subject to change without notice. There is limited seating at the picnic
grove, so you may want to bring blankets, chairs, etc. Those items will be
stored in one of the train’s cars. The price for this event is $20.00 and
children can attend for $15.00. Tickets can be bought at the train, so
there is no need to pay in advance. A group from First Church plans to
attend, so please sign the sheet on the narthex desk, so we can figure
out transportation. Thank you!
