Job summary
The main purpose of the role is to provide excellent cleaning activities at
the Head Office site in a safe and efficient manner.
Expectations






Technician with direction from the Hygiene Supervisor if needed.

Key responsibilities

To observe safe working practices at all times including reference
to:
Health and Safety regulations
Lifting and Handling
Fire procedure
COSHH regulations
Environmental Health requirements


To achieve a high standard of work.
Maintain and utilise stocks, supplies, facilities and equipment
efficiently and economically to help maximise budget allocation
Ensuring that equipment is safe to use and in good working order.
Ensure hygiene equipment is removed after use and kept secure
and in a tidy and clean manner.
Ensure cleaning is undertaken as to ensure no damage occurs and
no water gets into electrical circuitry or other sensitive equipment.










Cleaning walls, floors, furniture and fittings by use of manual and
electrically powered tools and equipment.
Activities include dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming in
accordance with work schedule. Emptying all litter containers and
delivery of rubbish to the main refuse areas.
Reporting all defects of equipment, furniture and fittings, including
electrical appliances.
Ensuring that areas are properly secured after cleaning work is
completed and that any breaches of security are reported.
Maintaining good relationships with staff, service users and visitors.
Maintaining safe and hygienic working practice with regard for self
and others.
To carry out other reasonable duties as delegated by the Line
Manager and the Senior Management team.

Qualifications
Attainment of 3 GCSE’s to include
English and Mathematics
Health and Safety Certificate Level 1
First Aid Certificate or ability to work
towards
Manual Handling
Experience
Working knowledge in cleaning tasks
using cleaning equipment, and cleaning
chemicals and substances.
Knowledge of Health and Safety such as
COSHH, and manual handling rules.
Skills and Abilities
Good interpersonal skills with the ability
to maintain professionalism and working
relationships.
An acceptable standard of written
English
