Groups are required to make a deposit when reserving Skipstone. A deposit of 20% of the total event
is required with your reservation form. This deposit is fully refundable up to thirty days prior to the
event. If the event is cancelled within thirty days of the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
Cleaning Fee - ____ initial here
A cleaning fee of $200 is also required with your reservation form. This fee is part of your reservation
deposit and is non-refundable.
Dress Code - ____ initial here
Skipstone is a Christian Retreat Center. Guests are expected to dress in a way that reflects a
Christian example. Group leaders are responsible for the dress of their group members. The manner
of dress should be set and communicated prior to leaving home. Immodest shorts, tops, distasteful
graphics or other extreme dress are not acceptable and will be reported to the group leader for
correction. More restrictive/comprehensive dress codes may be established by individual groups as
desired.

reached at 1-877-GO-SKIP-1. For after hours emergencies, please call the VP of Operations, Chip
Moody at 770-570-8200.
First Aid - ____ initial here
Group leaders are encouraged to bring their own First Aid supplies. Basic supplies are located in the
Dining Hall and are to be administered by Skipstone employees. In the event of a medical
emergency, please call 911 first and then contact Chip Moody (VP of Operations) at 770-570-8200.

A designated group leader for every group is responsible for the actions and activities of the group.
This includes items such as conduct, discipline, prevention of property damage, and the enforcement
of any Skipstone regulations. Group leader DO NOT have the authority to waive Skipstone
regulations.
Kitchen Access - ____ initial here
Health Department and insurance regulations require that only those individuals vital to the
preparation of food be allowed in the kitchen at any time. Therefore, only Skipstone employees are
allowed in the kitchen area.
Lost & Found - ____ initial here
Please report any lost items and return any found items to the main office at Skipstone. We are not
responsible for the loss of personal property and strongly encourage groups not to bring items of
significant value such as IPODS, Playstations, cell phones, etc.
Maintenance - ____ initial here
Ongoing maintenance of the Skipstone Campus is provided by our Facilities Department. Any
maintenance emergencies should be reported immediately to the Skipstone Office. For after hours
maintenance items, please call the Facilities Director, Glenn Polk at 770-468-4340.
Ownership & Responsibility - ____ initial here
Skipstone is owned and operated by the Skipstone Corporation, a private non-profit organization.
Under Skipstone’s bylaws, the daily management of the property and programs is to be administered
by the VP of Operations and the VP of Programming. These officers of the corporation have been
given the responsibility of maintaining the facility, hosting all groups who utilize the facility, and
protecting the property of the corporation. Therefore, these officers have been given the authority to
interpret the policies and procedures of Skipstone on a daily basis and in the event of any challenge
to said policies. Groups utilizing the property shall agree to abide by the officer’s decision. Any guest
is welcome to appeal an officer’s decision to the President.

Health Department and insurance regulations strictly prohibit guests from bringing pets onto the
property. There is a wonderful pet hotel about 5 miles from Skipstone. Please contact the office at
770-227-8966 for contact information.
Prohibited Items - ____ initial here
The following items are prohibited at all times on Skipstone property: fireworks, silly string, weapons,
illegal drugs, smokeless tobacco and alcoholic beverages. Skipstone is a smoke-free facility and
smoking is not allowed on our property. Candles and incense are not allowed to be burned except in
the use of corporate worship and then only under very strict supervision. While not expressly
prohibited, we strongly encourage guests not to bring valuable items such as IPODS, Playstations,
cell phones, etc.
Quiet Hours - ____ initial here
Quiet hours at Skipstone are from 12:00am to 6:30am. Any outdoor activities occurring during quiet
hours must be approved by the VP of Operations or VP of Programming in advance.
Swimming Pool - ____ initial here
The pool is open seasonally. No one may enter the pool area without the Skipstone employed
lifeguard on duty. The decision of the lifeguard on duty in regard to all activities, disputes, questions
or issues is final. This includes the right to revoke swimming privileges from any guest.
Vehicles on Grounds - ____ initial here
To ensure the safety of our guests, personal vehicles must be parked in the designated parking lot for
the duration of the group’s stay. PERSONAL VEHICLES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN CAMP
AREA.
Bedding / Towels / Personal Items - ____ initial here
Skipstone’s retreat facilities consist of dormitory style cabins with 18 – 20 beds per cabin. Guests are
responsible for providing their own bedding, towels, and personal items. Skipstone does not provide
any linens, towels, sheets, blankets, etc.
Special Note Regarding Adventure Activities - ____ initial here
To ensure the safety of our guests, Skipstone requires the use of “closed toe” tennis shoes, boots,
etc. for anyone participating in adventure recreation activities such as ziplines, rappelling, etc.
Skipstone’s staff reserves the right to deny participation in adventure activities to anyone who does
not have on appropriate footwear.
SECTION G - Acceptance of Terms & Waiver of Liability
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

adventure activities involve risk of injury or death from various hazards, both obvious and obscure,
including but not limited to, injury by acts of other group participants, falling, being struck by falling
objects, equipment failure, and other risks or occurrences not set forth in this document.
By signing this document, I accept and assume responsibility for any and all such risks, both for
myself, and as an authorized agent or leader of my church / group, whether or not specifically
itemized herein, to include travel to and from activities. I acknowledge that Skipstone Adventures, its
employees, associates, corporate officers, board members, property owners, family of the same and
any organization that Skipstone Adventures represents or contracts with shall be held harmless and
blameless in the event of such an aforementioned risks and will not look to any entity or individual nor
hold them responsible for my or my group’s well being or the protection from such risks, whether or
not those risks are known by those organizations or individuals.
In consideration of participating in any and all activities with Skipstone Adventures, I, on my behalf
and on behalf of my group members, their heirs, assigns, and representatives, do hereby irrevocably
release Skipstone Adventures, it’s employees, associates, corporate officers, board members,
property owners, family of the same and any organization that Skipstone Adventures represents or
contracts with, their successors and assigns from any and all claims which involve any nature of
injury or death or damage to persons or property that may occur as a result of my or my group
members attendance or participation in such aforementioned activities.
By signing this I also give Skipstone Adventures the rights to use any written quotes, photos, or video
footage for promotional purposes, which include the above named participants.
I have read and agree to abide by the policies and regulations of Skipstone. I understand that
as the group leader, I am responsible for my group’s actions, activities, and safety. I accept
the responsibility for inspecting the property for damage and cleanliness before departing and
reporting any damage to the Skipstone employee on duty.
