Cox Re: supervision of the SAT on Saturday, May 7th YOU CAN FIND YOUR PARTICULAR SAT SUPERVISING ASSIGNMENT AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT. 1. Report for supervising Saturday at 7:30 am. Come to the Clayton Gym if that is your supervising assignment, or come to Room 5 to pick up your testing materials if you are testing elsewhere. Then go to your assigned testing room. You can eat breakfast/get coffee at the Dining Hall if you want, starting at 6:50 am. 2. Supervisors will receive their testing materials and go to their testing rooms. Everything will be set up there. When the students get to their rooms, check them in and seat them. Be sure to check for proper photo ID. If a student does not have acceptable ID and you do not know them personally, give that student the ID policy memo and send them back to me at the Clayton Gym. Also be sure to fill out the attendance roster and the associate supervisor’s report form. Some supervisors might initially assist with routing students to their testing rooms and then go to their rooming assignments. Associate supervisors should start reading test instructions at 8:05 am. Also, make sure you get correct counts of the test-takers and all testing materials, both when the materials are handed out and collected! 3. I will usually be at the Clayton Gym or at the Library after testing begins; however, a roaming proctor or I will visit all testing rooms. Report problems when we come around. Supervisors who work alone will occasionally be relieved for breaks. (cont.) 1 4. REVIEW AND REHEARSE THE MANUAL FOR YOUR PARTICULAR TEST – SAT, SAT SUBJECT, OR SAT WITH EXTENDED TIME AND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS. THE LINK FOR YOUR MANUAL IS LISTED WITH YOUR SUPERVISING ASSIGNMENT AT THE END OF THIS MEMO. USE THE LINKS AT MY WEB PAGE FOR SAT SUPERVISORS TO ACCESS THE MANUALS. The pages you need to read are listed at each manual link. Be careful with the testing clocks – they are often atomic and cannot be reset. Start on a minute, add the time permitted for the section of testing, and then tape a notice with the starting and stopping times on the music stand holding the test clock, or write the timing information on a classroom board. 5. REMEMBER TO FILL OUT AND SIGN ALL OF THE FORMS ABOUT TESTING IN YOUR ROOM, INCLUDING: THE ATTENDANCE ROSTER THE ASSOCIATE SUPERVISOR’S REPORT FORM ANY IRREGULARITY REPORTS SCORE CANCELLATION FORMS I’ll be available to help you with filling out the forms. 6. If you are supervising the SAT for the first time, you’ll be assigned to a room with an experienced supervisor. You can get help from them if you have questions. 7. On Saturday return all testing materials to the Clayton Gym or the Library and check out with me there. SAT Subject testing will finish around 12:15 pm, SAT Reasoning around 1:15 pm, SAT Subject with extended time around 1:45 pm, and SAT Reasoning with extended time around 2:15 pm. The dining hall serves lunch until 1:30 pm. Extended time supervisors will get a lunch break. 8. Supervising assignments are listed on the next page. NOTE THE SUPERVISING ASSIGNMENTS INDICATE WHICH MANUAL ALL SUPERVISORS AND PROCTORS SHOULD REVIEW AND REHEASE BEFORE TESTING.
