Rules & Regulations
 All horse events excluding Rodeo & Campdraft are post entries, meaning entry on
day of Show
 Site Camping fees apply and will be collected.
 NO horses are to be tied to any tree on the grounds.
 The age of all horses to be the actual age up to 1 August
 Stallions Handlers/riders must be 17 years or over and may only compete in
specified classes
 All hacks to be over 15hh, Galloways 14 to 15hh, ponies NE 14hh, unless
otherwise specified
 All classes open for registered and unregistered horses and ponies, unless
otherwise specified. Proof of registration must be produced if requested
 Competitors in all ring events are requested to be correctly attired and have their
horses ready to enter the Marshalling Areas as and when directed by the
Stewards
 Any Competitors disregarding the directions and requests of the Stewards will not
be permitted to compete in the event
 Horses with an EFA or SHC Measurement Certificate will be accepted. All other
horses will be measured. On a dispute horses will be measured and NAA
measurement will be final.
 The Judges and Stewards decision will be final.
 Any Competitor, whose conduct is considered to be unethical, will be liable to
discipline by the Judicial Committee
 Ribbons will be awarded to 3rd place
 ELEMENTARY – Open to all horses that have not won any more than three 1st at
an agricultural show
 INTERMEDIATE – Open to all horses that have not placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an
individual class for hacks at a Royal Show
 Stables are available for reservation. Please see stable request form, with
relevant details and fees
 NO TAPE YARDS WILL BE PERMITTED
 Camping is permitted at a fee. All electrical leads must be tagged by a
licensed electrician. These will be checked
 INDEMNITY FORMS MUST BE SIGNED AND WRIST BANDS MUST BE WORN
 SUNDAY Any Champion or Reserve from Ring 1 may not compete in Ring 2 and
vice versa

Rules & Regulations
 The Committee may make any alterations in the program that it may deem
necessary
 Competitors must be ready to start at the time stated on the program, or when
called up, or they may be disqualified
 The sporting Committee reserves the right of adjudication on any entry
 Protests must be in writing and in the hands of the Secretary within 30 minutes of
the time of the event, with a deposit of $50, which will be forfeited if the protest
becomes frivolous
 In all cases of a dispute the decision of the Judicial Committee shall be final
 Only officials and competitors are permitted inside the ring enclosure

The Agricultural Societies Council of New South Wales advises that the practice of
horse riding/handling contains elements of risk, both obvious and inherent. The
risks involved may result in property damage and/or personal injury including
death.

horse rider/handler at this, or at any event contains an element of risk of injury and
I agree that I undertake any such risk voluntarily of my own free will and at my own
risk.

top of this form constitutes a ‘risk warning’ for the purposes of Division 5 of the Civil
Liability Act 2002 (NSW).

Northern Agricultural Association Inc in relation to any loss or injury (including
death) that is suffered by me as a result of my participation in this show.

Inc on a full indemnity basis against any claim or proceeding that is made,
threatened or commenced and any liability, loss (including consequential loss and
loss of profits), damages or expense (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis)
that the Northern Agricultural Association Inc. incurs or suffers, as a direct or
indirect result of the undersigned’s participation in any event held by the Northern
Agricultural Association Inc.
