ABHI's International and Commercial Team going places: ABHI is pleased to announce the promotion of Emma Pocock to the position of Events Manager. Professional events-organiser Emma joined the Association two years ago as an Events Executive, and, has since that time, organised a number of successful events and conferences. not least of which have been two ABHI UK Market Conferences, the HCAI Awards and, most recently, the Association's Legal and Regulatory Conference. Emma has, in the last year, taken on the additional role of organising ABHI's international exhibitions. Six months ago Sarah Izon joined ABHI on a temporary basis to assist Emma with events and exhibitions. As of last week, Sarah has become a permanent member of ABHI's International and Commercial team. Sarah, a graduate in Ancient History from Exeter University, also has an events background. In previous roles Sarah assisted with the management of a series of networking events around the country and two award ceremonies, one of which having been held at the House of Lords. The third and longest-serving member of the team is Theresa Ashford, who works with Emma on the hugely successful Export Club programme. Theresa was recently honoured by receiving a Special Award for an Outstanding Contribution to British Healthcare Exports. This Award presented to Theresa by Lord Darzi on behalf of Middle East Hospital at Arab Health, was in acknowledgement of her assistance to UK medical device companies, most notably through the International e-Newsletter.
