A Day at the Fantasy Dome During the summer holidays, I spent a wonderful time with my friends, Johnny and Tony, at the Fantasy Dome in Wan Chai. We were going there because we wanted to extend our knowledge and widen our horizon. There were 4 zones in the Fantasy Dome: Astronomy Zone, Zoological Zone, Buffet Zone and the Meteorological Zone. First, we entered the Astronomy Zone. “Look, Terence! There are many space shuttle models and space suits!” said Tony. “Yes, I wonder one day I can wear one of the space suits and have a ride in the space shuttle.” I replied. Watching the movies play inside the zone, my friends and I felt amazed and excited. Secondly, we proceeded to the Zoological Zone. “What sounds are they? I hear many strange sounds,” asked Johnny. “I can hear some voices of birds, bears and lions. They produce a wonderful nature symphony!” I replied with delight. Tony walked and touched some of the animals. “Ouch!” Tony exclaimed. “I was bitten by a virtual polar bear!” Johnny and I started grinning. “I feel hungry, I haven’t eaten enough for breakfast!” explained Johnny. Responding to Johnny’s request, we entered the Buffet Zone to hope for a delicious meal. There was a lot of delicious food from different countries, including miso soup, pasta, croissants, etc. We had a rest but Johnny showed us a mouthful of rice. Last but not least, we went to the Meteorological Zone, a good place for studying meteorology. I could watch films about typhoons, hurricanes, torpedoes and hazards of thunderstorms. My friends and I all hoped to be the staff of the HK Observatory! We had an unforgettable experience at the Fantasy Dome. I looked forward to going there with Tony and Johnny again! Ng Chu Him 3B
