7th GRACM International Congress on Computational Mechanics Athens, 30 June – 2 July 2011 INSTRUCTIONS TO PREPARE A PAPER FOR THE 7TH GRACM INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON COMPUTATIONAL MECHANICS 1 2 3 First A. Author , Second B. Author and Third C. Author 1 Department of … University of … City, GR-54124, Greece e-mail: 7gracm@dpem.tuc.gr ; web page: http://www.7gracm.ntua.gr 2 Similarly for all remaining co-authors Keywords: Instructions, GRACM2011, Computational Mechanics, Proceedings. Abstract. This document provides information and instructions for preparing a paper to be included in the Proceedings of the 7th GRACM International Congress. The paper file format must use the Portable Document format (.pdf), but the MS Word 2000 and later (.doc) format as well as the MS Rich text format (.rtf) are acceptable as well. Follow this order when typing your paper: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Keywords, Abstract, Main text, Acknowledgements, References. 1 INTRODUCTION The proceedings will be edited in a CD-ROM, including the texts and figures, using Portable Document Format (PDF). Afterwards, the CD will be forwarded to the publisher, who will produce a booklet containing the CD augmented with a browser and an index. The editors will translate the paper from MS-Word or MS-Rich Text Format to PDF. For this purpose: - In the case of submission by e-mail, please send us the paper in one of the aforementioned formats, as attachment. If needed, the following file compression tools may also be used: Winzip or WinRar. - In the unlikely case where e-mail is not possible, submission can be done by courier service, using a CD, a flash memory stick or a 3.5'' DOS formatted diskette, containing: a) The MS-Word, MS-RTF or PDF files. b) A hard copy printout of the file should also be included. All this information may seem redundant, but it is probably the best way to avoid errors. A second storage device containing exactly the same information should be sent to serve as backup. All material should be clearly labeled with the title of the paper, the corresponding author and the type of word processing used. If needed, the following file compressors may be used: Winzip or WinRar. The best way to label the electronic files containing the text material is “First.A.Author_Gracm7.extension”. Please e-mail or post all this material to the Congress Secretariat. All pertinent addresses are collected at the end of this set of instructions. 2 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS 2.1 Text The paper must be written in English, A4 paper, single-spaced, justified, with a font size of 10pt, in Times New Roman. 2.2 Margins The margins must be formatted to 2.5cm on all sides of the paper.
