Lillie Current Photograph Type of Construction Integrity Roof: Early corrugated metal sheeting with ‘River Gum’ green overpainting. Walls: Original in-situ reinforced concrete (from boarded timber formwork) with introduced ‘summer straw’ overpainting. Gable Infill: Early cement sheeting. Floor: Concrete slab. Doors: Early vertically boarded timber. Window: Early window opening north side with vertically boarded shutter.. Fair-good. Conservation Issues: Introduced timber electricity pole in front gable. Boat shed submerged in ground at rear. Weathered timber bargeboards and exposed timber rafter ends. Missing original letting to rendered “BAY VUE” name plate in stuccoed panel to the left of the doorway. Rotted ends to timber doors. Overhanging Cypress tree branches causing debris build up on roof. Wall cracks on side and rear walls. High Historical Information Herbert Lewis built this boat shed for Syd Nelson in late 1937. By 1971, it was occupied by R. Lillie.
