Madras Middle School Talent Show Rules and Procedures MMS Talent Show: Saturday March 19, 2011 Coweta County Performing and Visual Arts Centre, 6:30 P.M. 1. Every student wishing to audition for the Talent Show must turn in a permission slip to Mrs. Walton stating that they will comply with the rules and giving parental permission to audition. If performing in a group, each member must turn in an individual permission slip. 2. After turning in permission slips, each act may sign-up for an audition time with Mrs. Walton. Auditions are after school on Monday, February 28, Tuesday, March 1 or Wednesday March 2. Students will sign-up to audition in a time-slot on one of those days and must have transportation home as soon as their audition is over. If you do not attend your scheduled audition, you will not get to schedule a make-up audition. 3. Auditions must consist of EXACTLY what the student will be performing if chosen for the Talent Show. (This includes costume, music, etc. In other words, wear what you would wear and do what you will do if selected for the show.) Talent Show acts are limited to 4 minutes in length. 4. Participants must be current students of Madras Middle School. 5. All music, lyrics, dialogue, etc. must be free from profanity and inappropriate language. Also, no inappropriate dancing will be allowed. 6. Costumes must follow school dress code. If you have a special need to wear a costume that is questionable, please consult Mrs. Walton. 7. Because of time restraints, the Talent Show must be limited to only a fraction of the acts that will try-out. If your name does not appear on the final list, you have not been selected to participate in the Talent Show. The final list of acts chosen for the show will be posted in the cafeteria on the morning of Friday March 4, 2011. 8. Acts that have been chosen to participate must be able to report to the Coweta County CPVA at 5:00pm on Saturday March 19, 2011 for performance preparations. Students need to stay for the evening and be ready to perform at 6:30pm. 9. If your child is selected for this event, there is a participation fee of $10 due, payable to Madras Middle School. This fee will be due by March 8, 2011. 10. Tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each for the Talent Show and will be available for purchase beginning Monday March 15 in the chorus room. You must have a ticket in order to be allowed into the Talent Show. Children 5 and under are free. 11. Students who participate in the Talent Show on March 19, 2011 will be video taped by Nulink. **Please return the attached permission slip no later than Monday, February 28.
