Getting to losOlivos
Transfer prices to/from losOlivos (for 2016 transfers)
FROM MALAGA AIRPORT (135km, 1h 40mins) – via taxi (arranged by losOlivos).
 Individual = €120 each way
 2 people sharing = €70 each, each way
 3 people sharing = €60 each, each way
 4 people sharing = €50 each, each way
 5 people+ sharing = €40 each, each way
FROM GRANADA AIRPORT / BUS STATION (36km, 40mins)
 Individual = €50 each way
 2 people sharing = €35 each, each way
 3 people sharing = €25 each, each way
 4 people sharing = €20 each, each way
FROM LECRIN (TALARA VILLAGE BUS STOP) (7km, 15mins)
 Taxi rate = €20 each way
When losOlivos arranges transfers for guests we try to group people together to keep costs down. This
is normally successful for retreats/courses when people fly in/out at similar times. In order to maximise
the chances of a transfer share, we only take the payment for the transfer with the balance payemnt of
the stay (around 30 days before arrival). If you would like us to try to match you with a “transfer partner”
let us know! To increase chances, it's a good idea to see if others have booked already and check their
days/times of travel.
Alternatives:
1. Car hire – Depending on the time of the year, a week will normally cost in the region of €100. This
is worth investigating via www.doyouspain.com. An alternative company is
http://www.malagacar.com/ who operate off airport but seem to charge less for petrol and
insurance than the companies you'll see on doyouspain.com.
** N.B. Please be aware that if you are booking a hire car you will probably be asked to pay of a
tank of petrol (around €60) when you arrive at the airport – you then return the car empty. You
will probabaly use around half a tank getting to and from losOlivos from Malaga airport.
Additionally, you will be asked if you want to take out "extra insurance", for tyres etc . .. Whether
you do this is up to you.
(losOlivos doesn't work with doyouspain/Malaga car in any capacity)
When hiring a car in Spain it it good/necessary to bring a credit card with you, as you will
probably need this to secure insurance / avoid unnecessary costs.

Travel from Malaga/Granada airport using public transport to the Lecrin Valley village of Talara.

occasions, if we have a scheduled trip to Talara, we may be able to offer a complimentary transfer to Los
Olivos.

Directions from Malaga airport.
>> Exit the airport, and immediately follow the "Malaga" signs
>> You'll join a motorway, then after about 3 KM you will see a sign for "MOTRIL". Follow this sign (you
have now joined the main coastal mway)
>> You then need to follow signs for "MOTRIL" OR "ALMERIA". (for around the next 90km) – (if you follow
“Granada”, you will go a longer route on an inland motorway)
>> You'll go round Malaga city (that takes around 20-30 mins)
>> Once round Malaga city, most of the traffic will disappear - the motorway will become clear.
>> Pass town of Nerja (45 mins into journey)
>> Pass Almunecar (1 hour into journey)
>> Pass Salobrena, and take the motorway “Sierra Nevada” in the direction Granada (this will feel like you
have not changed motorway).
>> Go up the motorway to junction 160 (LECRIN) and follow the visual directions

Granada Airport to Lecrin




Exit the airport and pick up the A92 in the direction of Granada.
When you get north of Granada follow signs for Motril, which will get you on to the motorway
towards the coast – motorway A44.
Carry on on that motorway, always following signs for Motril, and you will go round the city of
Granada.
Keep going south, until you reach exit 160 (Lecrin) of the motorway.
