Instructions:
You will use this journal to keep your notes and writings on the assigned readings. You will build the
journal over the course of the semester, adding new entries in subsequent days. Each day for which we
have assigned readings is broken down into the following categories:
Readings: This defines the readings for a particular day. Some days I will assign particular
individuals to focus on specific readings from the list for the day. If additional readings have been
assigned for a given day that do not appear, you should enter these in the space provided.
Writing assignment: Here you should enter the assignment that provide for you during the prior class
period. I will also e-mail everyone with the assignment, and you can simply cut and paste this into
your journal if you like.
Writing entry: This will be your entry – the writing that you will do for a particular day.
