College of Veterinary Medicine & Pfizer Animal Health
2012 MU Pfizer Dental CE Weekend
April 14-15, 2012 I University of Missouri I Columbia, Missouri
Dentistry is a profit center for veterinary practices and if it is not for you then let us help you change that! Dealing with the
dental needs of your clients will also result in an improved quality of life for them (and hopefully you) - what a deal!!
This year a highly respected and talented veterinary dentist (and MU alum), Dr. Curt Coffman will return to lead us in a great
weekend of dental education. We will also repeat our dedicated program for veterinary technicians! In addition to Dr.
Coffman and Dr. Richard Meadows, we will have two veterinarians who have practices limited to veterinary dentistry and are
board-eligible (or may be board-certified dentists by then) - Dr. Gary Modrcin and Dr. Ken Lee. We will also have Community
Practice DVMs to help us as well - Dr. Jackie Kleypas, Dr. Carrie Duran and Dr. Matt Prator. And, last but by no means least; we
will have Mary Berg involved in the veterinary technician program. Mary is an RVT but also a VTS (specialist in dentistry).
Mary brings many years of experience in doing and teaching veterinary dentistry to her fellow technicians. Practical
information/skills for both DVMs and Vet Techs will be our priority!
Lectures are available on an open basis. Attendance at the lectures is required for entry into the wet labs. The lab
portions will be hands-on and practical with a good teacher/student ratio. Attendance to the Sunday (DVM only) wet lab will be
limited to 34 veterinarians. In the bonus lab session Sunday afternoon, to the extent possible, lab attendee's requests to learn
specific procedures will be accommodated.
Location: Lectures will be held at the University of Missouri - College of Veterinary Medicine: Adam’s Convention Center and
the Auditorium. Wet Lab will be in the Anatomy Lab (W 169).
CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be made if the MU Conference Office receives a written request by April 4, 2012.
(Email: muconf10@missouri.edu). We will make no refunds after this date, but substitutions are welcome.
