We offer digital radiology (DR), digital dental radiology, ultrasound, Med Rx video otoscope, high speed dental equipment, isoflurane/sevoflurane, chemistry analysis, tonometry pen, IV fluid pumps, pulse oximeters, ekg monitors, patient warming system, blood pressure monitors and computerized records. Job Description We require that our technicians possess both superlative technical skills and people skills. Our technicians provide excellent customer service and provide exceptional patient care. Our technicians fulfill numerous essential responsibilities including blood draws, IV catheter placement, anesthesia maintenance, surgical assistance, dental prophylaxis, obtaining dental and full body radiographs, maintaining accurate medical records, observing and caring for hospitalized pets, dental assistance, urine collection, medical records keeping, conducting laboratory tests, pre-examination assessment, examination assistance and client education regarding pre and post-routine surgical instructions, diet, home care and flea and tick prevention and treatment. Our technicians are cross trained for reception where their ability to educate clients has profound positive consequences for pet care. Requrements Graduate of an American Veterinary Medical Association Accredited Veterinary Technology Program or two years of experience as a veterinary technician in a veterinary hospital Valid driver’s license Willingness to work Must be able to work weekends Understands the physical and health related risks inherent to working with pets Able to work as a member of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision Be able to physically lift heavy objects (up to 60 pounds) repetitively Schedule and Benefits We offer competitive and commensurate compensation and continuing education opportunities.
