Dear Alumni and Friends:
I write to invite you to join us for the 42nd Annual Evans Scholars Founders’ Day, to take place
on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Midland Hills Country Club. Midland Hills promises to be an
excellent venue for us to come together as the Evans Scholars Family. A registration form is
enclosed.
The Evans Scholars Foundation has sent over 8,000 caddies to college. We expect to have a full
field for this year’s Founders’ Day to help celebrate this amazing program which has impacted
all of our lives.
If you wish to join us, you must r.s.v.p. by filling out the registration form and send it to Ryan
McDowell on or before April 29, 2012. We expect to have a full field, so please send your form
in as soon as possible. The cost is $125 per person, which cost includes lunch, golf and dinner.
A dinner only option is available for $75.
As you know, money we collect over our costs for the event is given to the Evans Scholars
Foundation. All checks should be made payable to Minnesota Evans Scholars Alumni.

Participants (active scholars, alumni, WGA Directors, and MGA Directors) may register as an individual, with
a partial group or as a foursome. There are no golf only or five-some options. The Founder’s Day committee
will make pairings for individuals and partial groups. All participants must be registered and paid in full by the
May 8th deadline. Names listed without an accompanying payment will not be included in the pairings unless
we receive payment by April 29, 2012. There is no registration the day of the event.

Golf will begin promptly, with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. Only proper golf attire will be allowed. Soft spikes
only. No jeans, sweatshirts, tank tops or cut-off shorts will be permitted. Persons who do not comply with
this request will not be allowed to participate. Carts will be available for an additional fee the day of the event.
