All participants will be waited for and taken to the Gheorghita Guest House which belongs to the Ploiesti
Forest State Administration. This House is 25 km. distant from Bucharest but transport and accommodation
for about 10 participants is free of charge. It is expected that less than 10 people will arrive at Bucharest.

Visit the Costei Pinus strobus x P. wallichiana and Pinus strobus x P.
peuce F1 hybrid trials at age 21 years after planting. At the same place,
Pinus strobus, P. peuce and P. cembra clonal collections will be visited.
Departure/arrival at the Valea lui Liman Hotel for accommodation.

depart for the Pinus cembra provenance trial (eight years old from
planting) located at 1550 m elevation in the Surianu Mountains. (Total
distance about 170 km). (Sandwiches will be served in between).

District.

welcome will be addressed by Mr Robert Blaj, general director followed
by departure to Paltinis and visit the Pinus cembra full diallel trial laid
out in the Cibinului Mts., at 1650 m elevation.

Lunch offered by the Forest Administration of the Sibiu County.

On September 23, after the Conference finishes, the participants for whom departure takes place
from Timisoara will be transported by bus to Timisoara and accommodated free of charge at
Pischia Guest House. On the next day, they will be picked up by the organizers at the airport.
Further Information
The participants for whom departure takes place from Bucharest are kindly offered the following suggestions:
(1). On September 23/24 to be accommodated in Sibiu; the organizers will make reservations upon request;
(2). To accept a visit of the renowned Bruckenthal museum from the historical Sibiu town in the afternoon of the
September 23; if possible;
(3) On September 24, after breakfast, at about 8:30 a.m., departure to Bucharest; expected arrival time 13:00
p.m; bus provided by organizers;
(4) Upon request, the organizers will make reservations at the CARO HOTEL;
(5) Those who wish to visit Bucharest will benefit from the organizer’s help.
