examination material. Your answers and other work done by you as part of an examination are
the property of Cambridge English Language Assessment and will not be returned to you, your
school or centre.
British Council is committed to deliver the examinations services according to the rules and
regulations set by Cambridge English Language Assessment. However, we cannot be held
responsible for any interruptions, which are caused by circumstances beyond our control. If
examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled, or delayed, every effort will be made to
resume normal services as soon as possible and the British Council liability will be limited to
the refund of the registration fee or re-testing at a later date.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
TEST DATE TRANSFER
Once you have registered and before the deadline for registration, you will be able to transfer
your entry to a future examination or to cancel your registration for no charge. After the deadline
for registration and before the test date, you will be able to transfer your entry to a future
examination for an administrative fee of 50% of the standard registration fee for the particular
level. All requests for a test day transfer will only be accepted if submitted in writing.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Please tell us if you have a permanent or long-term disability. Examination services and
Cambridge English Language Assessment are ready to make suitable arrangements for such
candidates whenever possible provided that we have received your application at least three
weeks before the deadline for registration, supported by medical documents.
EXAM DATE CANCELLATION
Examinations Services reserve the right to cancel an exam if the number of registered
candidates does not meet the Centre’s minimum entry requirements.
REFUNDS
If you are unable to sit your examination because of illness, Cambridge English Language
Assessment will accept requests for partial refunds (50% of the exam fee paid), that are made
through our Centre and accompanied by an original medical document (bolnichen list for
candidates who are employed, or medicinska belezhka accompanied by ambulatoren list for
candidates who are not employed). If you are over 18 years old, but not employed, you
have to submit proof (a copy of a university or school student card, registration as unemployed,
etc.). The statement should be submitted to Examinations Services, British Council Bulgaria,
within five calendar days of the fixed written examination date. If you are taken ill on the
Speaking date, please contact us immediately to check if a new arrangement is possible. An
administrative fee of BGN 60 may be applied for any Speaking interview transfer for nonmedical reasons. No refund will be issued in respect of a timetable clash with a local or
other examination as well as with professional commitments and planned trips.
COMPLAINTS
If you wish to make a complaint, you must do so in written before you leave the test venue (for
computer-based exams) or within three calendar days of the test date (for paper based exams).
CONFIRMATION OF ENTRIES AND EXAMINATION TIMETABLES
All candidates will receive their Confirmation of Entry email with detailed timetable information
including venues for all exam components, Notice to Candidates and Summary Regulations for
Candidates by email. If you have not received these documents it is your responsibility to
contact Examinations Services at British Council for details at least three weeks in advance
before the paper-based exam or one week before the computer-based exam.
