THE OFFSHORE COMBUSTION INSTALLATIONS (POLLUTION
PREVENTION AND CONTROL) REGULATIONS 2013 (“THE OFFSHORE
(PPC) REGULATIONS 2013”)
FORM OF PUBLIC NOTICE
In accordance with the requirements of the Offshore Combustion Installations
(Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2013, Nexen Petroleum UK
Limited has applied to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change
(DECC) for a permit to operate combustion installations at the Golden Eagle
Facilities in Block 20/01.
As required under regulation 5(1), the Department hereby gives notice of the
above application. Copies of the application may be obtained on request either
by e-mail (EMT@decc.gsi.gov.uk), telephone (01224 254102), by fax (01224
254019), or in writing to the address below.
In accordance with Regulation 5(2)(e), this application is not considered likely to
have significant negative effects on the environment of another Member State
and does not require an environmental impact assessment or consultation with
another Member State before a decision in respect of the application can be
made.
Individuals wishing to comment on the application have until the 30 August
2013 to make representations to the Secretary State for Energy and Climate
Change in the form of an e-mail, facsimile or letter quoting reference Golden
Eagle Facilities in Block 20/01 PPC88-13 application and addressed to:

The Secretary of State considers that there is no other information relevant to
the application.
Copies of representations received may be made publicly available. Following
receipt of all views and representations the Secretary of State will either grant or
refuse consent for the proposal (with or without conditions). Notice of the
Secretary of State’s decision will be published in the London, Edinburgh and
Belfast Gazettes, and on the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Oil
and Gas website within 28 days of the date by which representations from the
public must be received.
