SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA CELEBRATES 45 YEARS OF FAMILY FUN
WITH SPECTACULAR NEW ENTERTAINMENT!
More characters, fireworks, live shows and the addition of
DC COMICS’ JUSTICE LEAGUE Super Heroes will make each day a celebration.
Gurnee, IL – Six Flags Great America, the Midwest’s premier entertainment destination for families, is set to
celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Six Flags with an unbeatable entertainment package in 2006. Throughout
the season, the anniversary will be marked by exciting rides, new live shows, the addition of DC Comics’
JUSTICE LEAGUE Super Heroes and enhanced guest service features.
“Our season-long 45th Anniversary celebration features a dramatically different experience for guests of Six
Flags Great America,” said Hank Salemi, the park’s vice president and general manager. “We’re pulling out
all the stops and inviting our guests to experience the greatest family entertainment package in the Midwest,
remember all of the moments they’ve shared with us throughout the years, and enjoy the characters, family
attractions and thrilling rides that are sure to create countless new memories.”
Every Day is a Spectacular Celebration in 2006
Guests from all over the Midwest are invited to celebrate 45 years of family fun with a spectacular
entertainment line up that features: two different parades starring a fun-filled variety of Six Flags Great
America characters and guests; a nighttime fireworks display at the Bugs Bunny Starlight Spectacular;
exciting live stage shows; strolling street performers; and four times as many huggable characters
throughout the park. Families can visit with their favorite Looney Tunes characters around every corner,
beginning with Brunch with Bugs and Friends in the Snow Shoe Saloon. A perfect addition to the day,
kids will get one-on-one time with the loveable Bugs Bunny and his pals-all while enjoying a delicious buffet.
From morning ‘til night, kids of all ages will find something fun and exciting to do throughout their day at Six
Flags Great America.
In addition, Six Flags Great America is beefing up the fun factor with the arrival of DC Comics’ JUSTICE
LEAGUE Super Heroes. Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and The Flash will greet
guests, sign autographs and pose for photos throughout the park’s midways.

Innovative New Shows Dazzle, Old Favorites Are Back By Popular Demand
Be sure not to miss this season’s spectacular show package at Six Flags Great America. Throughout the
park, guests can enjoy the 45th Anniversary celebration featuring everything from strolling characters to
performances by history’s biggest superstars and a new 3-D experience on the nation’s largest indoor
screen.
Headlining the 2006 live show package is Tribute to the Stars. Each member of the family will recognize
their favorite superstar as the talented Tribute to the Stars troupe lights up the Grand Music Hall! Guests will
be on their feet as Britney, Madonna, Elvis, Prince and Tina Turner impersonators dance, sing and thrill the
crowd with their energetic acts and uncanny resemblances to the hottest entertainers of the past and
present.
The asteroid dust will fly as guests enter deep space in Marvin the Martian 3D! This new movie experience
on the largest indoor Iwerks™ screen in the country will have audience members joining Marvin on an
odyssey of truly cosmic proportions. The entire family will enjoy this interactive adventure as the classic
Looney Tunes character attempts to once again conquer Earth.
An old favorite returns to the Theatre Royale stage as Bugs Bunny and his pals perform in The Toonite
Show. Bugs Bunny hosts his own talk show in this family-friendly musical while all of his Looney Tunes
friends stop by for comical interviews and animated song and dance numbers.
Variety of Attractions Deliver Fun for the Whole Family
Whether guests are die-hard thrill seekers or prefer to take the day at a more leisurely pace, adventure
awaits at Six Flags Great America. Thirteen high-speed roller coasters race through the park on nearly
seven miles of track, as treasured family attractions like the Scenic Railway and Columbia Carousel provide
the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No hot summer day would be complete
without a cooling ride on one of our soaking wet water adventures, including the new extreme tubing
experience—Tornado. The wild and wet fun is conveniently located at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, directly
adjacent to the theme park.
Families with young children can stay together and play together in two interactive kids’ areas with
attractions straight out of their favorite cartoons! Bugs Bunny National Park features a massive net climbing
area and slide complex in addition to the spectacularly themed Looney Tooter train that families can ride
together. Camp Cartoon Network highlights cartoon favorites The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear and
Scooby-Doo in its colorful rides and attractions for young children and their parents.

Festivals, Special Events and Concerts Heat Up the Summer
Unique festivals and sizzling concerts are coming to the Midwest’s premier theme park for a summer unlike
any other. Only at Six Flags Great America will families find a variety of special events coupled with the
most exhilarating thrill rides on the planet. Christian music superstars Mercy Me visit the park during Joy
Fest, June 10; Telemundo Chicago and Six Flags Great America partner for Ritmo y Sabor, June 17 & 18,
featuring Latin Pop entertainment, regional Mexican music and popular Telemundo stars; Park Jam comes
to Six Flags Great America July 8 & 9 with performances by Ashley Parker Angel, singer and star of MTV’s
There and Back; and the hottest gospel recording artists make an appearance at Six Flags Great America
for Gospel Fest, August 12. These four exciting festivals are included free with theme park admission.
