I am enclosing a manuscript titled “Epidemiology of breast cancer in Cyprus: a population based case
control study” to be considered for publication in BMC Cancer. This manuscript has not been submitted
elsewhere for publication. This study presents the first report, for breast cancer risk factors in Cypriot
women, and provides the first scientific evidence for more targeted campaigns of prevention and early
diagnosis, in our population. In addition, this investigation provides important background information,
for designing more detailed studies that aim to improve our understanding of the epidemiology of breast
cancer in the Cypriot population.
