INTELLIGENCE TEST ON RUSSIAN-SPEAKING SAMPLE

Adaptation of J. Mayer P. Salovey and D. Caruso Emotional Intelligence test (MSCEIT V. 2.0) on a
sample of students of humanitarian, technical institutes of higher education and military schools of
Moscow
and Perm (n = 638 per.) is presented. Psychometric evaluation of Russian-language variant of the
test is done. Test’s structural (factor) validity and underlie theoretical models were analyzed by means of
confi rmatory factor models in LISREL program. Consistency of scales was tested by means of
exploratory
factor analysis. Validity, criterial reliability and possibility of test’s standardization are discussed.
The results of psychometric verifi cation revealed satisfactory characteristics of Russian-language
version,
suffi cient; for its utilization for research purposes. Problem areas for test’s future adaptation and
validization are revealed.
