Developers unveiled preliminary designs for remodeling the Stockhouse and Executive Buildings. The two contiguous buildings will provide 150,000 square feet of state-of-the-art workspace for more than 600 employees and will include free parking for 600 vehicles. The property will provide additional amenities consistent with what’s currently available in other Schlitz Park buildings. The 46-acre office complex plans to add 45,000 square feet of green space with the creation of Brewhouse Square. This park will replace the Brewhouse building which developers thoughtfully and reluctantly concluded they could no longer preserve, but can honor and memorialize through additional green and public spaces. Utility re-routing work is underway as the building is prepared for removal. In addition to the new park, Schlitz Park’s corporate wellness provider Salus, Inc. will design a one mile outdoor vita (exercise) course. Finally, Schlitz Park is working with the City of Milwaukee on a TIFF district to support the re-opening of Galena Street, upgrading Second Street and developing a pedestrian connector to the RiverWalk. Schlitz Park also announced that it has engaged Leonardo Academy, a nationally leading nonprofit organization, to conduct a sustainability audit of the entire campus and develop a comprehensive sustainability strategy that will include pursuing US Green Building Council LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building certification. 1555 N. Schlitz Park intends to apply for LEED-EB certification for all renovated spaces, ultimately making the corporate campus the largest concentration of LEED-EB-certified space in the state. Schlitz Park also intends to be the first “barrier free” corporate property in the US with an office park design that’s inherently accessible to persons both with and without disabilities. In the past year, Schlitz Park has renovated space in its RiverCenter and Bottlehouse buildings including offices for new tenants, and added a new café, two new fitness centers, and contemporary meeting and seating areas. Numerous amenities have been introduced, including most recently the largest office installation of free Wi-Fi in all common and outdoor areas. During the renovation, Schlitz Park has pursued sustainable construction practices such as recycling 80 percent of all waste generated and selecting environmentally-friendly building materials. These include low- and no-VOC paints, dual-flush toilets, auto-activated faucets and reuse of existing materials where practical, including doors, frames, hardware, ceiling tiles, ceiling grid, and toilet fixtures and partitions. The office complex has also retrofitted existing lighting fixtures to high efficiency performance. ### More than 4,300 employees work in Schlitz Park (www.schlitzpark.com), home to major Milwaukee organizations including ManpowerGroup, Time Warner and others that provide financial services, health care, employment, education, technical and other important services. Schlitz Park is owned and managed by The Brewery Works, Inc., the organization formed by the families that purchased the Schlitz Park property in 1983. 1555 N.
