The Fred and Carol J. Van Den Bosch Scholarship
The Van Den Bosch Scholarship is awarded each year to a graduate student in the M.Ed.-LD program. Listed below are the

administrators those of professors are somewhat preferred.

1.
They must be professing Christian teachers.
2.
They must have had previous teaching experience and be committed to continuing in their profession.
3.
Preference will be given to students taking at least two courses per semester in the M.Ed.-LD program at Calvin College.
4.
Candidates must demonstrate potential for advanced academic scholarship and demonstrate financial need based on criteria
for financial aid in effect at Calvin from time to time.
5.
Recipients of this scholarship are requested by the donor to pledge to make future contributions to this scholarship fund in the
amount of their scholarship awards if they feel the Lord has blessed them to the degree that they are able to make such

Only students pursuing the M.Ed. Degree are eligible for graduate scholarship awards.
Scholarships and other awards will not exceed the cost of tuition paid by the graduate student. Scholarships cannot be used
for related costs such as books, etc.
Students must take at least two courses in a calendar year (defined as the summer prior to the academic year and the two
terms of the academic year.) Normally, the scholarship will be divided equally among the first two terms in which the student
takes a course. This could include two sessions in the summer prior to the designated academic year as well as the fall and
spring of that year.
Normally, scholarship awards and tuition reduction certificates received for supervising a Calvin student teacher should not
be used during the same term.
The Graduate Office will monitor the enrollment of scholarship recipients and communicate enrollment information to the
Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at the beginning of each term.
While it is not required to complete the FAFSA, it does function as one possible way of demonstrating financial need.
