STUD CATTLE REGULATIONS
All Females over 30 months must be in calf or have a calf at foot.
Exhibits must be bona fide property of the Exhibitor at the time of showing.
The Society has the right at any time to cancel the entry of an exhibit without assigning any reason therefore,
notwithstanding prior acceptance of such entry, provided that, if an entry be cancelled except for a reason for which the
exhibitor is responsible, the relative entry fees, if any, upon cancellation of the entry, shall be refunded to the exhibitor.
Herd Book certificates must be available for inspection by the Stewards.
Full particulars must be stated on entry form of names of animal, age, tattoo and/or firebrand and number, and Herd Book
number of Sire and Dam.
Any animal, which by judging day has become ineligible for a class in which it is entered shall not compete in that Class.
The Society reserves the right, if it so chooses, to transfer an animal from a class in which it has been entered, but for
which on judging day it is ineligible to compete, to a class for which it has become eligible to compete.
Each exhibit in a single class and the leading animal in group classes shall wear the numbered NECK CARD assigned to
it as an exhibit whilst parading before the Judge.
All Bulls 15 months and over must be secured by a neck strap at all times when stalled.
All Bulls 12 months and over must be nose ringed.
All animals paraded before the Judge or taking part in the Grand Parade must be led with nose grips and are thoroughly
tractable.
In the event of the Judge deciding the cattle are not worthy of the prize, no prize will be awarded.
No stock shall leave the grounds without the consent of the Cattle Stewards.
No cattle can compete in any other classes than those for which they are entered on the Entry Form unless transferred by
the Stewards.
In awarding the Championships the first prize winner of the relative sex in each class of the relative sub section shall be
eligible to compete. In awarding the Reserve Championships, the first prize winner in the relative sex in each class of the
relative sub section other than the exhibit to which the Championship has been awarded shall be eligible to compete,
together with the second prize winner from the class from which the Champion is drawn.
No prize winner over the age of 20 months is eligible for the Junior Championship.
If a Champion or Junior Champion shall be disqualified or shall be found to be unqualified to compete in the Championship
or Junior Championship, it shall be awarded to the animal which was awarded Reserve Champion.
All stud cattle shall be led for judging.
Any Exhibitor who fails to lead his cattle in the Grand Parade may forfeit any prizes won, at the discretion of the Stewards.
The age of all Stud Beef Cattle shall be the actual age up to 143h May 2011. An animal born on or prior to 13th May 2010
shall not be eligible for the under 12 months class. A similar provision shall apply to the other age classes when
calculating the age of birth of each animal, which must be entered on the Entry Form.
Championship Ribbons will not be awarded in non-competitive classes.
All Exhibitors in-group classes whilst parading before the Judge must wear all ribbons awarded in single classes.
The Committee authorises any two official representatives of respective breed societies to have the power to prevent any
Exhibitor from showing cattle, which fail to reach the minimum standards expected by that breed Society.
NO cattle will be permitted on the grounds as non-competitive
HEALTH REGULATIONS
TUBERCULOSIS: Exhibits must be from a non-infected property and have been subjected to a tuberculin test with
negative results within the proceeding six (6) months. Exhibits from a property with an approved A Grade status
will not require testing.
BRUCELLOSIS: All breeders must have been submitted to an approved serological test for brucellosis on two (2)
occasions with negative results. The interval between such tests will be not more than one hundred and twenty
days (120) days nor less than sixty (60)days, the last one being not more than thirty (30) days prior to entry to the
Showgrounds. Accredited herds will have free access .

18. SIRES PROGENY GROUP: Three animals, both sexes to be represented, all to be the progeny
of one sire and must be entered in the general classes
19. BREEDERS GROUP: three animals, both sexes to be represented, bred by the exhibitor and
entered into the general classes

THE BEXLEY TROPHY. A perpetual Trophy presented by Sir William Allen and Family formerly of Bexley Beef
Shorthorn and Poll Shorthorn Studs," BEXLEY" LONGREACH, for competition at the Longreach Show to be held
by the winner but returned to the Society one month prior to the succeeding show. The Trophy to be awarded to
the Exhibitor gaining the highest aggregate points in the Stud Beef Cattle Section. The Exhibits to be bona fide
property of the Exhibitor. The number of points to be awarded in all classes including groups.

Conditions of Entry
All Classes are open to persons not over 25 years of age on the first day of Show,
Four Exhibits shall be paraded for Judging.
Each competitor will be provided with a card on which they will place the subjects in their order of merit and
give reasons for doing so. Upon completing this card, they will hand it to the Steward of the Section for
presentation to the Judge who may, question the competitor on any points of their judgement, or any feature
in connection with subjects being judged.
The Judge, in making the awards, shall take into consideration the correctness of placing of the subjects and
the reasons given.
No entry fee is required, but entry is subject to the approval of the Show Committee.
Time limit for judging, completing card: Half an hour.
