Form B: Programme Change Proposal should be completed for all proposals which involve the following:

A HARD, SIGNED COPY OF FORM B SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY OF THE UUPB AND UGPB FOLLOWING
PROGRAMME/GRADUATE BOARD APPROVAL.
* These programme changes may require a derogation from the Academic Regulations. Please ensure you are familiar with the type
of derogations that may be applicable to these programme changes. Information on derogations and the derogations request forms
(the C Forms) are available at http://www.ucd.ie/registry/academicsecretariat/progs.htm.
In instances where the proposed programme change includes 1) an increase/decrease in projected student numbers/fee rate/total fee
income, 2) additional teaching resources, 3) additional support resources (e.g. additional space and particular teaching requirements
including lecture theatre, clinical rooms, lab space, library space and holdings (including the purchase of new e-journals) etc.),

The Programme Change Proposal should be completed for all proposals as outlined above. This section provides general
information about the programme as it currently exists and the proposed changes to the programme. For reference, the University’s

Please describe, in detail, how the proposed change will impact the programme, current students, future students, academic and
administrative staff, the budgetary resources and the physical resources of the School/College/University. Also please explain the rationale or
necessity for the proposed change.

Electronic copies of submission forms for new programme proposals and changes to existing programmes may be sent via email to
the relevant committee secretary. All such proposal forms must also be signed by all signatories and submitted to the relevant
committee secretary prior to the submission deadline (scanned copies of forms with signatures included are acceptable). Proposals
which are not signed will not be included on the University Board meeting agenda.

agreed by the Programme Board and the College Executive, or equivalent committee with budgetary and academic planning responsibility.
