The following amendments will be made in KMVSS:

Introduction of the requirements for a double-deck bus, such as, interior height, overall width, fire extinguisher, maximum inclination angle, emergency exits. (expected effective date: manufactured or imported for from on or after the time of promulgation).

For buses with designated seating capacity of more than 15 persons, effective with of a aisle shall be at least 30 cm. (expected effective date: manufactured or imported from on or after the time of promulgation).

Relaxation of vehicles subject to tachograph installation; commercial trucks with maximum payload of 1 ton or less will be excluded from the requirement of tachograph installation. (expected effective date: at the time of promulgation).

Introduction of requirements of illumination devices for a new registration plate.(expected effective date : 1 November 2006)
