A D1220 Club wishes to partner a Club in Kenya to fund the installation (by
local Contractor) of a Polytunnel for crop growing for an Orphanage in
Kopere (Kisumu) Kenya
The cost for equipment and installation is £2000
Questions to be answered;
1. Does this project fit any of the Areas of Focus, and if so which?
Yes-Economic and Community Development/Maternal and Child Health
2. Presuming the D1220 Club is applying for a District Grant, is it essential
to have a Host Club to partner?
No
What responsibilities should the Host Club have?
Site liaison and supervision/Sustainability monitoring
3. What Sustainability measures could apply?
Community involvement
Provision for maintenance of equipment
4. What is minimum amount the Club needs to fund-raise?
£1000
5. What would be the earliest start date?
After District funding has been released by TRF and Grant Application
approved (likely August/September)
