Narcotics will be administered with a competent Registered Nurse. 2.9 Initiates and perform a range of nursing measures based on patient needs in accordance with his/her physical and mental comfort; positioning and mobilization, nutrition and hydration, bowel and bladder elimination , care of shin and wounds, support of respiration, hygiene, communication and other physical and mental bodily functions as required. 2.10 Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient and his/her family and elicits their participation and responsibility in care. 2.11 Provides patient and family teaching during daily care in conjunction with patient educators. 2.12 Ensures patient’s confidentiality and rights and dignity are maintained. 2.13 Documents and reports all accidents/incidents to the Head Nurse or Charge Nurse. 2.14 Develops and updates self-professional knowledge and skills by attending recommended training and educational programs. 2.15 Ensures update mandatory courses BLS, Infection Control, Lifting & Handling and other educational updates. 2.16 Participates in assigned unit programs such as staff orientation, continuing education, unit meetings, Total Quality Management and special projects 2.17 Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of her knowledge, skills and abilities. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 5.1 Essential: 5.1.1 5.1.2 6.0 Working experience in a multi-national environment. Post graduate – 3 monthly rotation in Clinical Area is mandatory in the first year. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 6.1 Essential: 6.1.1 Proficiency in spoken and written English.
