TARGET AUDIENCE: This program is designed for RNs, LPNs, Nursing Home Administrators and
other interested health care professionals in an acute, outpatient, clinic or long term care setting.
LEARNING GOAL (PURPOSE): The purpose of this program is to provide the learner with the
latest information on nursing scope and standards of practice, focusing on legal implications of
health record documentation with “demonstration of a court experience”.

best practices for health information record documentation.

Attendance Requirement: You must stay for the entire program to be awarded contact
hours and complete a written evaluation of program.
Cancellation Policy: A participant who wishes to cancel registration must notify the Division
of Continuing Education and Development office at least three working days prior to the
workshop date in order to receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee. After that date a
substitute may be sent, but no refund. If an offering is cancelled by EKU, the registration fee
will be refunded in full.
