Additional questions a. Please tick this box to confirm that your samples will NOT present any biological hazards requiring particular precautions to be taken ☐ b. How will the output received from TGAC be analysed and released? How will this activity be resourced? Please provide details c. Do you wish someone from your research centre to work with TGAC staff on a particular aspect of analysis? If so, please provide details TGAC follows BBSRC’s data sharing policy and expects data to be deposited in appropriate databases in a timely manner. TGAC can assist you by depositing raw data (e.g. to the Sequence Read Archive); analysed data sets can also be deposited as appropriate. Page 3 of 6 Technical Assessment Form Part B – Technical Assessment (To be completed by TGAC) 1. Date received by TGAC 2. Overall Assessment Is the described plan of work appropriate for access to TGAC resources? Tick to confirm. ☐ 3. Feasibility Brief commentary on technical feasibility of the proposed work, including: appropriateness of scale, selected methodologies, expected timescales; identified risks; matching of work demands to TGAC capabilities and resources to deliver desired outputs. Page 4 of 6 Technical Assessment Form 4. Costs of proposed work Summary and breakdown of TGAC resource costs associated with the proposed programme of work. Note to applicant: The completed Technical Assessment Form must accompany research grant proposals submitted to BBSRC, when these include use of TGAC resources. The total cost (including VAT if applicable) should be entered into your Je-S proforma. Under Research Council Facilities select TGAC from the list and enter the total cost in the Proposed Usage text box. The total must be entered again under Other Directly Incurred Costs as TGAC Sequencing Costs, so that the figure is included within your requested resources. VAT will not be charged on collaborative research projects, but will be charged on contractual research. VAT where applicable should be included in your funding request from BBSRC. If you are unsure if VAT is applicable please contact your research office, or finance team. If TGAC has a Co-Investigator on the project, and a separate non-lead Je-S form, then the costs below will be entered on the TGAC form only, but the TAF must be uploaded to the lead Je-S component. If your project is funded, please notify us (tgac.projects@tgac.ac.uk), we will schedule your work and reclaim these costs by invoicing you. Costs below do not include VAT.
