The Senior Art Paris Trip started out windy, grey and drizzling, but once we arrived in
Paris so did the good weather.
While there, the Parisians were celebrating a Brazilian football win in the champs Elysee
with cars full of green and yellow balloons, large green and yellow flags draped over
cars, or being held aloft by car passengers taking the victory salute. It was like a festival.
Day 1: A tour of Paris and our guide told us of various historical happenings. We visited
Notre Dame and in the beautiful sunlight it was sparkling as it had just been cleaned. The
shadows were crisp, making the details clearly etched on the light limestone. An
amazing construction task today never mind all those centuries ago.
