It’s Tuesday …. Can You Predict the Weather?? What could we expect for weather (colder, warmer, more precipitation, less precipitation) if: 1. An arctic air mass moved over the prairies tomorrow. 2. A westerly flow of air was to position itself over southern Manitoba for the next day. 3. A continental air mass from the southwestern United States was to dominate the Manitoba weather scene for the next week. 4. An arctic air mass was to dominate southern Manitoba weather for the next few days. To the north a polar front at the same time was to influence central and northern Manitoba. 5. A low pressure air mass from the Pacific Northwest was to dominate our weather over the next few days. 6. A low pressure system with its origins in the Southeastern United States was to advance into southern Manitoba. Meeting it was an arctic air mass. 7. A low pressure system from the Pacific was to influence our weather until Sunday and, then, an advancing cold front was to meet this air mass Sunday night. 8. A weak low pressure system was to pass over Manitoba this afternoon. 9. A High pressure system was to be replaced by a low pressure system on Sunday. 10. The tail end of a low pressure system replaced an artic air mass on Saturday night. 11. A brisk northwesterly flow of air around a high pressure cell was to dominate Manitoba weather tomorrow. 12. An advancing westerly air mass was to influence our recent dry warm conditions for the next few days. 13. A low pressure system was to advance across Hudson Bay into northern Manitoba tomorrow.
