ALUMNI AWARDS
The Awards: The Pacific Alumni Association honors distinguished alumni whose
outstanding achievements and services to humanity have brought credit to the
University of the Pacific.

Nominees for the Distinguished Professional Service Award have achieved notable
success in their professional field. This may include public or private enterprise.

Nominees for the Distinguished Public Service Award may be employed by a nonprofit organization, elected position or government appointment.

Nominees for the Distinguished Volunteer Service Award have made exceptional
contributions and/or service to society.

Nominees for the Distinguished University Service Award have offered noteworthy
contributions to and/or efforts in behalf of the University.

Nominees for the Outstanding Young Alumni Award must be a former student of
the University within the last 15 years.

Nominated families for the Outstanding Family Award must have given special
service, made outstanding contributions, and brought great honor to the University.
Family members must have attended the University of the Pacific.

Nominees for the Medallion of Excellence are alumni faculty, alumni regents or
alumni staff that have exhibited outstanding and exceptional service to the University,
their profession and community.

Nominees for the Honorary Alumni Award are individuals who did not attend the
University, but who through their leadership, personal involvement and support have
contributed significantly to the advancement of the institution.
Your Nomination:
Current Pacific Alumni Association Board of Directors and alumni who
are currently employed by the University of the Pacific are not eligible for awards. Please complete
and return this form with the following:
 At least one letter of recommendation. Please specify which award category or
categories you wish to nominate the alumnus/alumna for.

Resume, newspaper clippings, and other supporting information for the nominee.
Award Selection:
Nominations for awards can be submitted by any student,
alumnus/alumna, faculty, administrator, staff, parent, or friend of the University of the Pacific. The
Pacific Alumni Association Awards Committee will review all nominations. Award recipients will be
notified by the Pacific Alumni Association and will be recognized at the annual Distinguished
Alumni Awards Dinner & Ceremony in November. All nominations will be kept confidential by the
Pacific Alumni Association and on file for a three year period.
