People:
How can I ever repay the debts I owe?
Offer your life with ours to God who wipes all debt away!
Where can I turn when I can no longer forgive?
Lay your heart with ours, open before God who loves us!
What can I do when fear overwhelms me?
Lift your voice with ours in praise to God who saves us!

“Great Is Your Faithfulness”
The Offertory
*Our Response
We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord,
We bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.
And we offer up to You the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
And we offer up to You the sacrifices of joy!

Confession of Sin
*Call to Confession
*Unison Prayer for the Confession of Sin
Sometimes, God, we shortchange ourselves. We do not really believe that we are
capable of accomplishing much on our own. We forget that you are a constant source
of energy and inspiration for us. We also forget that we can draw on the strengths of
one another. Together, your people are capable of doing many great things. Help us to
appreciate the gifts you bestow and to use them for your purposes. Forgive us for
being short-sighted. In the name of the One who gives us vision we pray. Amen.
*Assurance of Pardon
*The Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
“We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise”
*The Offertory Prayer
We offer you these gifts of faith, O God, confident that in your care they will become
great things. Encourage our faith as you love the world through us. Amen.

Communion Prayer
Leader: May God be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: People of God, lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them to the One who cradles our hearts in loving hands.
Leader: People of God, let us give thanks to the God who sets a Table for us.
People: We praise the Lord our God, who welcomes us with open arms.
Leader: It is our greatest joy to sing, …. and who forever sings God’s joy:
Get Ready to Journey to Bethlehem and to...
…Do One (or Many!) Nice Things for Others
Inspired by Pastor Robin’s sermon about “Do One Nice Thing” and
“Journey with Paul to Athens,” the Board of Christian Education
designed “Journey to Bethlehem/Do One Nice Thing.” The journey
was announced on Rally Day and will continue until the Children’s
Christmas Program on December 15. We would like for everyone to
participate by doing at least one nice thing for others each week. Slips to
record the deeds will be located in the pews, where they can be filled in before the
worship service and then placed in the offering plate. No names are necessary. Good
deeds can also be emailed to Cathy at dce@frucc.org.
Each good deed will count for five miles. The journey to Bethlehem is about 6,000 miles,
so we will need lots of good deeds to reach our destination before Jesus’ birth. Miles will
be tallied each Tuesday. A map will be posted showing our progress and Pastor Robin
will announce our progress from time to time.
Leader: Holy is God …. we speak of that mystery we call faith:
All: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Sharing from the Lord’s Table
*Prayer of Thanksgiving (in unison)
We give thanks, almighty God. You refresh us at your table by granting us the presence
of Jesus Christ. Strengthen our faith, increase our love for one another, and send us
forth into the world in courage and peace, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit;
through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
We Go Forth to Serve God
“”Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus”
*Hymn
SLS #40
*Responsive Call to Dedication
Liturgist: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
People: Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
