DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1. Extent of each type of toilet accessory is indicated on drawings and schedules. 2. Types of toilet accessories required include the following: .1 Toilet Paper Holders. .2 Mirrors. .3 Soap dispensers. .4 Sanitary Napkin Disposal Units. .5 Sanitary Napkin Dispenser Units. .6 Grab bars. .7 Paper Towel Dispensers/Waste Receptacles. QUALITY ASSURANCE 1. Furnish inserts and anchoring devices which must be set in concrete or built into masonry: coordinate delivery with other work to avoid delay. 2. Coordinate accessory locations with other work to avoid interference and to assure proper operation and servicing of accessory units. 3. Provide products of same manufacturer for each type of accessory unit and for units exposed in same areas, unless otherwise acceptable to Architect. SUBMITTALS 1. Provide setting drawings, templates, instructions, and directions for installation of anchorage devices in other work. Stainless Steel: AISI Type 302/304, with polished No. 4 finish, 22 gauge minimum, unless otherwise indicated. 2. Brass: Leaded and unleaded, flat products, FS QQ-B-613; rods, shapes, forgings, and flat products with finished edges, FS QQ-B-626 3. Sheet Steel: Cold rolled, commercial quality ASTM A 366, 20 gauge minimum, unless otherwise indicated. Surface preparation and metal pretreatment as required for applied finish. 4. Galvanized Steel Sheet: ASTM A 527, G60. 5. Chromium Plating: Nickel and chromium electro-deposited on base metal, ASTM B 456, Type SC 2. 6. Mirror Glass: FS DD-G-451, Type I, Class 1, Quality q2, 1/4" thick, with silver coating, copper protective coating, and nonmetallic paint coating complying with FS DD-M-411. 7. Galvanized Steel Mounting Devices: ASTM A 386, hot-dip galvanized after fabrication. 8. Fasteners: Screws, bolts, and other devices of same material as accessory unit or of galvanized steel where concealed. Unobtrusive labels on surfaces not exposed to view are acceptable. Where locks are required for a particular type of toilet accessory, provide same keying throughout project. Furnish two keys for each lock. 2. Surface-Mounted, Recessed or Semi-Recessed Toilet Accessories, General: Except where otherwise indicated, fabricate units with tight seams and joints, exposed edges rolled. Hang doors or access panels with continuous stainless steel piano hinge. Provide concealed anchorage wherever possible. TOILET PAPER HOLDER 1. Roll Toilet paper holder shall be surface mounted double roll, 18 gauge, type 304 stainless steel frame, 20 gauge, 1 1/8” diameter stainless tube with restriction adapter and Master Lock (all keyed alike) model #STP-2 with lock, clip and sloped stainless steel top, produced by Royce Rolls Ringer Company (1-800-253-9638). All mounting to be with corrosion resistant, tamperproof, thru-bolted ‘sex’ type with mating male/female threads, flush on backside. Install with additional 18 gauge stainless steel backplate to match frame size when not mounted back to back through toilet partition with another paper holder. Specify sloped top and additional backplate when ordering. Above Or Below – to be edited by designer – confirm with school 2. 2.05 Folded Toilet Paper holder shall be surface mounted Bobrick B-272, Bradley 515, or A&J Washroom U807. All mounting to be with corrosion resistant, tamperproof, thru-bolted ‘sex’ type with mating male/female threads, flush on backside. Install with additional 18 gauge stainless steel backplate to match frame size when not mounted back to back through toilet partition with another paper holder. MIRRORS 1. R- /14-15 Mirrors shall be Bobrick B293 1836, Bradley 740-18x36, or McKinney Parker 170T – 18 x 36. DIVISION 10 – SPECIALTIES SECTION 10 28 13 – TOILET ACCESSORIES Page 4 of 5 2.06 SOAP DISPENSERS 1. 2.07 SANITARY NAPKIN DISPOSAL UNIT 1. 2.08 Sanitary napkin dispenser unit shall be equal to Bradley 426, Bobrick B-2800, or McKinney Parker 873. GRAB BARS 1. 2.10 Sanitary napkin disposal unit shall be equal to Bradley 4722-15, Bobrick B254 or McKinney Parker 626. SANITARY NAPKIN DISPENSER UNIT 1. 2.09 Horizontal soap dispenser shall be GOJO dispensers 1250ml, dove gray, #5150 Grab bars shall be McKinney Parker Series 9600, Bradley Series 812, or Bobrick Series B-6806. SEMI-RECESSED TOWEL DISPENSER AND WASTE RECEPTACLES 1. Towel dispenser and waste receptacle shall be stainless steel semirecessed equal to Bradley 2252-10, Bobrick B3942, or McKinney Parker 80294-2x2. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 INSPECTION 1. 3.02 Installer must examine substrates, previously installed inserts and anchorages necessary for mounting of toilet accessories, and other conditions under which installation is to occur, and must notify Contractor in writing of conditions detrimental to proper and timely completion of work. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected in manner acceptable to Installer. INSTALLATION 1. R- /14-15 Install toilet accessory units in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, using fasteners which are appropriate to substrate and DIVISION 10 – SPECIALTIES SECTION 10 28 13 – TOILET ACCESSORIES Page 5 of 5 recommended by manufacturer of unit. Install units plumb and level, firmly anchored in locations indicated. 3.03 2. Install concealed mounting devices and fasteners fabricated of same material as accessories or galvanized steel. 3. Install exposed mounting devices and fasteners finished to match accessories. 4. Provide theft-resistant fasteners for accessory mountings. ADJUSTING AND CLEANING 1. Adjust toilet accessories for proper operation and verify that mechanisms function smoothly. 2. Clean and polish all exposed surfaces after removing protective coatings and labels.
