The purpose of this letter is to serve as a letter of recommendation for Brad Pierce. Brad has worked for LM from July, 2008 to early August of 2009, and has served as a Production Supervisor during that period. Unfortunately, current economic times have forced LM to reduce our production schedule to the point where a number of employees, both hourly and salaried, were affected. Based on Brad’s seniority, he was caught up in this recent reduction. From a business perspective, Brad has performed a very good job over the past year. Brad was a key member of our management staff during the green-field build of this facility through the initial production start-up phase and into our current state. Brad also served on several dynamic teams which he demonstrated his leadership ability to implement strategic plans in order to accomplish a broad spectrum of overall goals. Brad’s energy, work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to change and adapt on a moment’s notice were all positive skills during the difficult plant start-up. Brad worked extremely long hours and multiple extra days to meet and exceed the goals and objectives for our facility during that time. Brad has had responsibility for an hourly workforce staff in excess of 30 employees and has kept them working safely, productively, with high quality, and with a focus on continuous improvement. Brad coached and mentored to all plant employees the importance of maintaining a high level of quality without compromising safety. Brad posted excellent numbers which indicated his high level of commitment to the organization. On a personal side, Brad has been very well liked by his peers, his management and his employees. Brad’s personality is very well suited for the production environment and it has been a pleasure to have gotten the opportunity to work with Brad for the past year. Lastly, and most importantly, I could recommend Brad for a number of different management opportunities, both in production as well as other service-related fields. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you, Todd Schurra LM Glasfiber Plant Director – Little Rock
