Introduction - Akrotiri Pottery
Artefacts found at Akrotiri, on modern Santorini island, are at least 4000
years old and were buried by a major volcanic eruption.
The archaeological teams have recovered hundreds of ceramic artefacts,
some complete but often in pieces.
Restoring the original pieces is like doing a puzzle.
This activity is a simple way for you to:
 appreciate the skill of a restorer
 become familiar with some Akrotiri pottery
Instructions
Drag and drop the pieces into the correct locations to reconstruct the
artefact. Any artefact pieces which do not fit should be placed in the storage
cabinets.
