Pickaway- Ross will be here Friday, January 27 to meet with those Sophomores who are undecided about attending Pickaway- Ross next year. Contingent on sponsorship, information is available in the Guidance Office for junior boys interested in being considered for Buckeye Boys State June 10-17, 2012. Applications should be returned to the Guidance Office no later than 12:30 pm on January 25, 2012 to be considered. Applications should demonstrate an interest in United States History, Government and Civics and be able to attend for the ENTIRE 8 days. Seniors, applications for the following scholarships are available to pick-up in the Guidance Office: - Berger Hospital Gift Shop- Pursuing a career in nursing - Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority- planning to enter the profession of education The Jr. Class and Student Council is sponsoring a benefit for Samantha Jordan a Westfall Junior who is battling some very serious medical conditions. There will be a Chili Cook-Off and Silent Auction in conjunction with the Zane Trace all day basketball games on January 28th. Anyone wishing to donate items for the silent auction or enter chili in the Chili Cook-off contact Mrs. Wippel, Alex Sartin, or Alek Stonerock. There is a donation can in the high school office and in the ISR room if anyone would like to drop a cash donation in. Everything is appreciated and 100% of money collected will go to the Jordan Family. The deadline for Voter Registration is February 6, 2012 for the March 6, 2012 Primary election. A voter that is 17 years old and will be 18 on or before the November 6, 2012 General Election may register now and vote in the primary. Voter Registration Applications may be picked up in the district office between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. The Prom Committee is sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner on February 10th during the boy’s basketball game which is Parent’s Night. Advance tickets are on sale for $5 or pay $7 at the door. Dinner consists of Spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert & drinks and will be sold from 4:00 to 7:00. Purchase tickets from Mrs. Wippel in the ISR room. Make checks payable to Westfall High School and support your prom!! The MAD (Making a Difference) group is sponsoring a Ping Pong tournament during lunch periods to raise money for Autism and the Autism Shootout between Westfall and Teays Valley on February 4th. Sign-ups are next week, January 23-27th during lunch periods and the tournament will be during lunch periods January 30th- February 3. The fee to join is $5.00. Scholarship The MAD- Making a Difference group is sponsoring a Ping- Pong Tournament next week during lunch to benefit the Autism Shootout, February 4th, featuring the Westfall Boys Basketball team vs. Teays Valley at Teays Valley. Sign-ups are this week during lunch and the cost is $5.00. Also, you may purchase a t-shirt for $10.00 to benefit the cause and wearing the shirt will get you in the game free. You can purchase a shirt during lunch or by contacting Mrs. Noltemeyer. Come out and support the cause. Since blue is the official color of the puzzle that is Autism. Let’s make it a “Blue-out”.
