 Today’s Lunch – Max Stix, Dipping Sauce, Vegetable, Fruit, and
milk
 Teays Valley College Night Thursday, Sept. 16th 6:00-8:00pm
 The Jostens rep. will return to take orders and deposits for
custom class rings on: Wednesday, Sept 15th at lunch. Please
remember…bring your order form and a $60 deposit. Extra
packets are available in the office. All sophomore students
who place a class ring order on this day will receive a free
class of 2013 hoodie. All students who wish to order a class
ring should visit the Jostens display table.
 The Jostens representative will return to take senior orders
and deposits for Cap& Gowns and Graduation packages on:
Wed Sept. 22nd at lunch. Please remember... Bring your order
form and your deposit. Should you wish to order a class ring,
no additional deposit is required-just complete the class ring
order form and turn it in with you Graduation order. All
seniors should place their order on: Wed Sept. 22nd at Lunch
 Juniors and Seniors: The following college and university
representatives will be here to provide information:
*Tuesday, Sept. 14 Ashland University @ 1:00
*Thursday, Sept. 16 Ohio Dominican University
*Friday, Sept. 17 Hocking College @ 10:15
Ohio University-Athens @ 1:15
If interested in meeting with them, please sign-up in the
Guidance Office the day before each visit.
 Picture Retakes are Oct. 7th @ 8:00 am.
 Seniors: The following scholarship applications are available
in the Guidance Office:
*Horatio Alger Scholarship
*The Rev. DR. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship
* Elks National Foundation Scholarship
* John H. McConnell Scholarship
*American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and
Air –Conditioning Engineer, Inc. Scholarship
 Students who are writing articles for the school newspaper,
The Echo, should have the article ready by September 15th. If
you want to write for the newspaper but don’t know what
article to write, please see Daniel Spencer or Buddy Smith for
ideas. Articles should be turned in to Mrs. Kern’s mailbox or
to Room 119.
 Breakfast is served in the cafeteria in the morning. Those on
“free lunch” can get breakfast for free. The cost for those on
reduced lunch is $.30. Regular price is $1.50.
 Students are reminded not to enter the school building in the
morning through the locker rooms or the gym. Please use
Cafeteria doors.
 The following have been nominated to run for Pumpkin Show
Westfall High School Junior Representative: Katie Cline,
Ashton Bartholomew, Anissa Browning, Caitlin Pendall, and
Katlyn Ratcliff. For Senior class; Nicole Acal-Salado, Lizzie
Essman, Karlie Jones, Alyssa Lamb, and Emily Vance. Pumpkin
show voting will take place at map today!
 A daily detention list will be placed on the window at Room
116 (ISR Room). If you aren’t sure if you have detention,




please check the list. If you have lunch A, your detention will
be in Room 116, if your lunch is B you will serve detention in
the Library.
The Westfall FFA Chapter will be sponsoring the 2010
Homecoming Dance on Saturday October 9 from 7-10pm at
the Westfall Elementary school building. The DJ will be
WNCI’s Magical Attractions. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Cost is $10/person. If you are planning to bring a guest from
another school you must pick up a guest permission slip
available in the high school office. Forms must be signed by
parents and principal of the guest’s school and returned to
Mr. Metzger’s mailbox by October 1. Refreshments will be
provided and pictures will be available from Tupper
Photography.
The Westfall FFA Chapter is sponsoring an electronics
recycling drive. The public may bring electronics to the Ag
Department on Friday September 24. Please see the
informational flyer from the Ag department for additional
details.
The volleyball defeated Paint Valley: 25-11, 25-15, 25-11,
thanks again to a stellar performance by our student body!
Please come and support us tomorrow as we travel to Unioto!
Congratulations to Hannah Gabriel for being SVC Sports Zone
player of the week.
Last night at the Adam Carter Memorial meet the girls team
finished 3rd, led by Deidra Treets 6th overall finish. The boy
team was 2nd, led by John Jude 6th overall finish.
 Anyone interested in being a Lunchtime Buddy to a 4th-grade
student, there will be an informational meeting on Friday,
September 17th during “B” lunch in the Study Hall. You must
eat “B,” lunch to be able to participate.
 College Night at Ohio University-Chillicothe! On October 7,
colleges from across the nation will be represented at the
Shoemaker Center! The doors will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 8
p.m. High school students, adults, current college students
and anyone interested in learning more about college
opportunities are welcome to this free event.
 The Citizens for Westfall Levy Committee will meet on
Monday, September 20, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the high school
study hall and at 4:00 p.m. in the elementary school
cafetorium. Anyone interested in getting levy information out
to the community is welcome and encouraged to attend.
